Mr. Mogens LykketoftSpeaker of the ParliamentDanemarkSaint-Petersburg, 22 November 2012Dear Mr Lykketoft,The G20 Youth Forum will take place in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, from 17 to 21 April 2013 justa few months before the meeting of the G-20 Heads of States in the same city.G20 Youth Forum will be the largest international event organized for young leaders in 2013,and about 1500 young leaders, parliamentarians, students and academics, representatives ofthe business world, governments and international organizations will be participating in it.The G20 Youth Forum 2013 has 4 main events which will run in tandem with each other:G20 Youth Summit – resulting in the CommuniqueConference - with publication of academic articles in the Conference JournalInternational Young Parliamentarians’ Debate - with Joint StatementAlumnis’ Meeting of 2006 - 2012 Summits participants - with Joint enterprise initiatives
We would like to invite you to nominate a maximum of 10 young parliamentarians to participateat our International Young Parliamentarians’ Debate.Young Parliamentarians’ Debate is a meeting of international young parliamentarians from allthe G20 countries, who are under 45 years of age, with the purpose of exchanging ideas andexperience in all the aspects of creating and implementing legislation.The objective of the International Young Parliamentarians’ Debate is to create and sign a jointstatement and declaration of cooperation between all the young G20 parliamentarians. Duringthe International Young Parliamentarians’ Debate around 200 participants from stateparliaments and youth parliaments of G20 countries will discuss common problems in the formatof 3 groups working in parallel: Committee on international social affairs, Committee onbusiness and entrepreneurship, innovation, transport and energy, Committee on finance,budget allocation, economic policy, financial markets, how to deal with corruption.The Joint Statement will be disseminated throughout the world and shared, in particular, withthe G-20 Heads of States and leading international organizations such as IMF, World Bank,OECD, European Commission and Basel Committee of Banking Supervision.The Young Parliamentarians’ Debate adds value not only to the G20 leaders’ efforts inresponding to the global economic and financial challenges, but also it serves as a uniqueopportunity for the participants to gather together in an exchange of ideas and best practice,encouraging stronger personal and professional relationships.

Candidates must:be a member of a federal or regional Parliament of the G20 countries;be a member of a federal or regional Youth Parliament of the G20 countries;be aged between 18 and 45;Good communications skills in English.

Successful applicants will be notified by e-mail within 1-2 days from the receipt of their completeapplication file at [email protected].The participation fee must be received within 5 days of notification to the candidate that his/herapplication has been successful.Participation fee 1090$ (double room), 1490$ (single room).
